Introducing
Dr. Michelle Walker D.C. has been a practicing chiropractor for the past 28 years and loves helping patients every day!
I believe that the body never does anything wrong. It innately tells us, or gives us signs and maybe symptoms that something is not “right”.
When I adjust patients I am enabling the body to speak clearer. If we take the trash out of the way, we get a clearer picture of what is going on.
The key to health is to first establish a norm or a good alignment of the spine, This gives us neurological integrity and a good communication between the body and the brain.
If the planes of the body are balanced and level the nervous system can be at ease, thus reducing the body’s need to adapt and compensate.
Compensation is a normal event in life, It is when compensation fails that we experience pain and /or symptoms(warning signs).
In this day and age, health is a journey, a constant battle. We are bombarded daily with stressors and toxins. It takes a lot of work to maintain Health throughout your life.
I love all alternative healthcare techniques. They all have their place and work very well at specific times. It is my opinion that there is a beneficial order in which these techniques should be utilized, and of course, finding out which ones work best for you.
True health and balance also involves looking at and addressing if needed, one’s teeth/occlusion/bite. It has been shown many times how influential the bite is in providing stability for the rest of the musculoskeletal system.
Finally, nutrition and life style must be addressed. Therefore, balancing the whole system… Nose to Toes.
There is no one thing in life that will keep you healthy forever, and it seems like a battle sometimes getting to YOUR optimal state of health. Yet, once you achieve it, it is much easier to maintain. I am here to help you on your journey to health.
I am a graduate of Southwest Missouri State with a degree in Marketing/Psychology. I was a member of a repertory dance company in my younger years. Through dancing, and my injuries, I was lead to Chiropractic.
